If you are a distributor with It Works, attending It Works Events is so important to the growth of your organization. These events are so powerful and motivating and you leave feeling fully charged and ready to build.
This event is held in Bradenton, FL so the weather is warm, but bring an umbrella.? Florida is surrounded by beautiful scenery and Green Carpet days is a great excuse to take a little “paycation”.? We are a lucky group that we get to travel with our friends to learn how to be better leaders while still being able to put our toes in the sand.
If you have not been you need to get to one. 🙂
It would be impossible for me to review every single thing that was covered, but here are a few things that stood out to me.
Get to Know Your Side Lines
Learning what your sidelines are doing and or sharing what you are doing with them will strengthen our company.? We are one bog family and I loved hanging out with my It Works sisters.
Steps to Success
Pam Sowder does such a great job really breaking down the steps needed to be successful in this company. It takes a genius to simplify things and our Steps to Success are so simple.
1. Join the Party – Join our team for $99 with a qualifying autoship and boost your kit with extra product
2. Wrap Free – get 4 loyal customers within 30 days and get 120 in volume credit so you can wrap for free
3. Guarantee – Enroll 3 distributors that do the same within your first 60 days and It Works will guarantee that you will earn $500 in bonuses and commissions.
She also talked to us about recruiting and how important it is that we find the right people and that the first question we should ask is why are they doing this? Leaders need to have a strong why to motivate them to work the business every day.
Personality Colors
Mike Potillo broke down the traits of blitzing a Red, Blue, Yellow and Green personality. Knowing what to look for in people’s reactions can really help you in the follow up.
His talk was super informative and you’ll have to go to an event to hear him, but a quick summary is this:
Reds are money and goal oriented. They will want to know how much money they can make.
Blues are willing to host a party. They may not even care about the wrap, they just want to have a good time.
Yellows are willing to buy the wrap just to help you out. They might even buy two.
Greens analyze the card for 10 minutes and then want more information.
Compensation Plan
Mark Pentecost and a member of our commissions team gave us a run down on how to maximize our compensation plan. We learned how important it is to make sure that we are following the steps to success and teaching that and promotions will happen naturally.? Enrollership is so important and try to keep your personally enrolled distributors in your top levels whenever possible.? Diamond bonuses truly give us the keys to make money.? Seeing how they can increases are checks is incredible.? Again, teaching the steps to success over and over will naturally get you the biggest check possible.
Customer Appreciation
We are a customer generating machine and it’s so important that we recognize our customers. Focusing on them will help build and sustain that residual income.? Call, text or email with your loyal customers at least once per month and sustain and build that beach money.? People need to feel like you care about them and we do, so make sure they know it.
Taxes
We are responsible for our own taxes and as business owners we need to be fiscally responsible by putting money away for Uncle Sam. Receipts are not trash they are cash so save them in an organized fashion and it will save you money in tax preparation because accountants are paid by the hour.? When your check increases in to the triple or higher levels you might want to consider incorporating.? Find a good CPA and business attorney.
Offline Marketing Techniques
Here are some tips on finding new leads:
- Apartments and condos often do newsletters and will let you stuff a blitz card in there. Try and find some (if not your own) that will let you do this.
- Ask the school board if you can give every teacher in the community a blitz card. Some distributors have tried this and have been approved.
- Have a route that you go through and give coupons to businesses. Don’t be afraid to return to the same place. Research shows that people need to see something multiple times before they buy it.
- Use the power of referrals. If you don’t want to ask your friends or family to make a purchase, ask them if they know anyone that would be interested.
- Go to a salon and see if you can set up a table and offer an incentive to the stylists.
Make It Works a Family Business
Include you family in making dream boards. Let everyone feel the benefits of the business and you may find that the family will be more supportive. This includes husbands too.
Embrace Every Lead
You never know who will be or sign your rock star so even if you have an opportunity meeting and only two people show up, make it matter and give them your all. One of those two people could be or know a super stud in marketing and be an anchor in your business.
Time Management
20% of the people in your organization will be responsible for 80% of your success. Spend 80% of your people time with the 20% that are building. It’s easier to give birth than raise the dead. If you have a distributor that is just not in to it don’t drag them along. They have to want it.
Brand Management
Our company is building our brand and we have to protect it. Compliance is important and so is thinking about what you say or write before you say or write something you might regret. Think about what you are saying and if it does not have to do with building your Revenue, increasing your Retention or Recognizing a team member then don’t say it.? Remember the 3 R’s!
It Works has partnered with a PR firm that is working to take us to A Whole Notha Level!
Friday was recognition night and I had two girls there that promoted to Diamond and Double Diamond so they were able to walk across the stage and take pictures with Our CEO Mark Pentacost and our Chief Networking Officer Pam Sowder. Moments like this are priceless and it is so incredible that our companies gives us the opportunity to be recognized like this.
Do what you can to get to one of these!
